The rarest of the mosquito-borne diseases in Raja Ampat, the risks of an infection are next to zero. Vaccines are available but epxpensive, the most widespread being Ixiaro.
Although very rare, infections with Japanese Encephalitis have been recorded in Raja Ampat.
